Historic Flags
The GGRC Chapter's legacy website records a collection of 20 historic American flags used in educational presentations throughout the area. This page will preserve that program and its historical descriptions as the original photographs and supporting material are recovered.
George Washington's Flag — 1775
The legacy chapter program identifies this as the personal flag of the Commander-in-Chief during the Revolutionary War and notes that a reproduction is flown at Washington's Headquarters at Valley Forge.
First Navy Jack
The chapter's historic flag program describes the familiar thirteen-stripe rattlesnake flag and its “Don't Tread on Me” motto as part of the early naval tradition.
Archive being rebuilt
The remaining flags and descriptions will be transferred carefully from the legacy site. New photographs can replace older images without changing the page structure.
